The Blue Angels are at the NAS Pensacola base from mid-March until early January each year. In January they train together at the El Centro Naval Air Facility in California until early March. Below is a calendar of their Air Shows and Practice Shows for 2022. Also on our OBA Calendar is our best guesses for this year's beach buzzes. It's usually on a Sunday afternoon or evening as they're on their way home from air shows. The past dates tell if we had a beach buzz, the time it happened and links to videos and photos for that day. NOTE: We never know the Blues' flight plan or if they'll do a Beach Buzz but we give you our best guesses for when it might happen. Watch the Blue Angels Practice from the Pensacola Lighthouse & Museum The Pensacola Lighhouse takes reservations to watch the practices from the balcony at the top of the lighthouse! Reservations are $30 per person, limited to 15 guests. For current pricing information, please visit their website www.pensacolalighthouse.org.Call the lighthouse at (850) 393-1561 ext 3, Tuesday-Friday 8am-5pm for reservations. Arrangements will be made to bring you to the lighthouse by bus if you don't have a Military/DOD ID. To watch the Blue Angels Practice on base you have to have or be escorted by someone with a DOD ID. If you don't have an ID or an escort with and ID you can watch the Practice Shows from just off the base at the Walmart or Target Parking Lots on Blue Angel Parkway, Navy Point Park or Fort Pickens. If you have a boat, Big Lagoon at Pensacola Pass is a good place to park. You can get a distanced view of the Blues from Johnson Beach and we don't see the Blues Practices from Orange Beach. This year's air show season is from mid-April until early November. On November 11th & 12th the Homecoming Air Show at their airfield at NAS Pensacola.
