Q: How much HP does a cold air intake add?

Cold Air Intakes are said to improve your vehicles performance by 5-20 horsepower. This number will vary depending on the make and model of your vehicle. While this isnt enough power to put you back in your seat, it will give your car or truck a little pep in its step.

I believe that's what they call a short ram intake. A cold air intake that runs much lower would be great.

The new PRL intake with the cone filter looks pretty cool, sucking cooler air from the same source as the oem intake.

Yeah, I think it's the better overall option.
You can run into issues running a longer intake like what I posted, but they are avoidable.
