Show Does the transmission need to be removed to replace this sensor? Also any thoughts about Lucas transmission oil? 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan 117k miles. High pitched whining noise and transmission in limp mode. level 1 Just a note, looks like junkyards are flooded with your transmission, you can pick one up for $400 I bet, car-part.com to find one near you. level 2 How much would labor be on that? level 1 The transmission doesn't have to be removed to replace it, but if the transmission is whining you more than likely have a larger problem than that. Also do not use Lucas transmission fluid. Only use the recommended fluid Chrysler specifies. level 2 Chrysler wanted $250 to do the service. I brought to my mechanic, he put 5 quart fluid and 1 quart Lucas. Whine is gone for now. I can always drain and put again. I did transmission service at 50k and this recent one today at 117k. level 2 Someone please tell me how to change is cause mine is doing it, and I’m pretty car technical. Where is the Trans Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch B circuitRegistered User Thread Starter Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 1 Likes: 0 Received 0 Likes on 0 Posts Hello, I need help. My 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan SE has an code P0845. This is an Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "B" circuit. My transmission is an A604 41 ET. Does anybody know where this sensor is located on this type of transmission???? Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Posts: 1,488 Likes: 0 I think it's inside the solenoid pack. Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 11 Likes: 0 Received 0 Likes on 0 Posts Without a doubt, all the pressure switches and solenoids are contained within the solenoid pack. If the pressure switch is faulty, you need to replace the entire pack. Just recently picked one up for $85 not including freight. You could replace the solenoid pack and hope it fixs the problem. I think the question you were asking was where is the sensor for circuit B, That would be part of the TRS. Which is connected the the valve body. and the switch would be part of the solenoid pack. Did you find where the TFPS is located? 03, buy, caravan, dodge, fluid, grand, pressure, problems, sensor, solenoid, stratus, switch, transmission, transmisson, trs Where is the transmission oil pressure switch located? The pump pressure switch is located on the transmission housing next to the pump. The switch lets the computer know what the pressure is coming from the pump when the engine is running. The servo pressure switch is located on the housing near a band or servo in the transmission.
How much does it cost to replace a transmission fluid pressure sensor?Replacing your transmission oil pressure switch can cost anywhere between $170 and $300, depending on the make and model of your vehicle, the cost of parts and the cost of labor. Mechanic labor prices can vary depending on the auto shop you choose, and the prices of parts will be higher on newer and luxury vehicles.
How do you check transmission fluid pressure switch? In order to test the switch you can connect your multimeter between the pin and the senders body. You should find the switch is closed while the engine is at rest. When the engine is running, the switch should open. As you can see this switch has only one pin, so the switch works between ground and the pin.
