Anime fans, we have great news! 'Restaurant to Another World' is confirmed to return for season 2!
The season 2 renewal was announced on the Monthly Shonen Ace magazine cover on the June 2021 issue. The series is now slated to begin production with OLM studios attached to become the animators of the second season.
The anime's official Twitter account also shared the great news.
"The second production decision! It’s been a long time # Isekai Shokudo official. Thanks to everyone’s support, the door to another world has been reconnected," the translated Tweet from the anime reads.
'Go-Go Tamagotchi' character designer Yasukazu Shouji is attached to design the characters for 'Restaurant to Another World' season 2.
When Will 'Restaurant to Another World' Season 2 Release?
The second season of 'Restaurant to Another World' will premiere on October 1 at 25:38 (effectively, October 2 at 1:38 a.m.) in Japan.
For international fans, the anime series will be available for streaming in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
The anime's adaptation for season 1 was first announced on September 7, 2016. The production studio Silver Link produced the first season. By July 3, 2017, 'Restaurant to Another World' was finally released and ran until September 18, 2017. Season 1 of the anime was streamed on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
What Is The Plot Of 'Restaurant to Another World' Season 2?
The plot of 'Restaurant to Another World' follows a Western Restaurant Nekoya, located in an ordinary corner of Tokyo's shopping district. The restaurant offers Japanese versions of Western dishes and opens during usual business hours, except on holidays and weekends.
However, every Saturday, something magical happens. During this particular day, the restaurant creates doorways to another world where they serve customers of different beings such as elves, dragons, animal men, and other out worldly creatures.
By the end of season 1, we saw Nekoya’s door appearing in a field, waiting for the next customer to enter. The second season will continue on this premise and will introduce us to new beings and entities.
