Who is the maid in Little Red Wagon music video

Hot damn! Miranda Lambert looks and sounds amazing in her new music video for "Little Red Wagon."

Let it be known: While Miranda's video features a cast of characters including an air-guitar player, a shirtless pool cleaner, a sexy hotel maid and an adorable little dog, this video is 100-percent star vehicle for its singer.

Miranda struts around in cowboy boots and larger-than-life hoop earrings, flirts in a denim miniskirt and lounges in a one-piece bathing suit — all outfits prominently featuring the color red — all while crooning the country tune.

Both the song and the video are cheeky — aside from batting her eyelashes at just about everyone who crosses her path and rocking a "Mrs. Shelton" belt, Miranda sings: "You know it ain't my fault when I'm walkin' / jaws dropping like ooh, ah, ooh, ah."

The country star (and wife of The Voice judge Blake Shelton) told Entertainment Tonight a bit more about the video: "It's really cool," she said. "Just the vibe out here is sort of a perfect setting for this song in particular."

The song itself was written by Audra Mae, an up-and-coming singer-songwriter who happens to be Judy Garland's great-great-neice.

"I kind of tracked her down a little bit in a stalker way because I was obsessed with her music and met her and we became friends. I asked her if I could record her song and she said, 'Absolutely!' and she actually sang background on the record," Miranda said.

This just in! Miranda will perform at the 50th annual Academy of Country Music's awards show on April 19. She joins fellow performers Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and George Strait. She's also the lead nominee of the night, nabbing eight nominations including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (for Platinum) and Single of the Year (for "Automatic").

Dramatic Celebrity Weight Loss

You can't ride in Miranda Lambert's "Little Red Wagon" and she's going to tease you about it all day long. Today (March 11), the country superstar released her latest visual for her new Platinum single, and she's sassing all over the place.

With her teacup pup in tow, Lambert pulls up to a crummy motel in (what else?) her little ol' red pickup truck. Though there's a specific rule that there are "No Pets Allowed," Lambert charms her way into an extra spot in her room for her pooch.

And that's basically the whole storyline, armed with her "backyard swagger," long blonde hair and legs for days, Lambert charms and dominates her way through the motel. She smirks and charms a maid, who spends the rest of her cleaning time dancing to Lambert's new hit single, flirts with a pool boy all while strutting her stuff.

Her dog is along for the ride too, matching her in a tiny red collar and relaxing poolside and by Lambert's side.

Despite all of her flirting and swagger, the people under Lambert's charms have no chance. Her little red wagon is all someone else's... which Lambert showed off by wearing a studded "Mrs. Shelton" belt.

Saucy singer turns heads at a roadside motel in this sizzling clip

There’s a cute little rescue dog and a hot, shirtless pool boy, but the minute Miranda Lambert steps out of her Airstream trailer and surveys the desert scene, the “Little Red Wagon” video is pure Lambert, off and running. The latest clip from the Platinum country superstar has her decked out in red cowboy boots, sashaying her way into a motel, charming both the desk clerk and the maid, with a scrappy little pup named Jamie in tow. The singer, who didn’t actually write the song (more about the writer later…), shot the clip three days before she performed it on February’s Grammys.

The video also gives Lambert a chance to explore a few different looks, including a rhinestone-studded belt that reads “Mrs. Shelton,” in honor of her husband, fellow country superstar (and The Voice coach) Blake Shelton.

Though she’s earned a reputation (and a whole lot of hit singles thus far) for writing or co-writing much of her own material, “Little Red Wagon” was penned by songwriter Audra Mae, an Oklahoma native and the great-great niece of Judy Garland. Lambert admits she tracked Mae down in a bit of a “stalker way,” determined to get her permission to record the song. After the writer gave a wholehearted yes, the singer then asked Mae to record background vocals on the track.

“Apparently somebody she was on the road with had heard my record and suggested the song to her,” Mae, who co-wrote “Little Red Wagon” with Joe Ginsberg, tells Entertainment Tonight. “They started listening to it and she really liked it. She is one of the most grounded, humble people you’ll ever meet, also a Texas girl. . .  She was apparently nervous about contacting me, so her husband cornered my publisher at a country awards show in Vegas and said, ‘Can you please get me her number because my wife has listened to this record all the time and she’s too shy to do anything about it.'”

At a party for the finale of The Voice, Mae and Lambert met for the first time, then met again a few months later, when Lambert asked her permission to record the song.

“I thought it was so funny because that’s not common at all,” she recalled. “It’s really not necessary, especially if you’re a huge artist – you can do whatever you want! But she’s old-school cool. She asked my permission and I was like, ‘Are you fucking crazy? Of course you can.’ It was really cool. Blake was making us pizza and chicken fingers and pouring us coffee, being such a good host.”

“Little Red Wagon” is the latest single from Platinum, which helped Lambert to lead the pack of ACM award nominees this year with eight nods, including Entertainer of the Year. Mae, who is also one of the co-writers of the new Kelly Clarkson single, “Heartbeat Song,” is set to release her solo album, Queendom Come, later this spring.
