I like her a lot. No doubt she is making absolute bank with this – which, good for her! With people swiping up, she is prob getting tons of that cookie $$ whether or not they buy right from her link or not.
I will say I get annoyed lately when she does swipe ups on what she JUST purchased (ie: the makeup bag that the Parcells/Skallas use). Normally, I wouldn’t call something that like that out or care...that’d be a little too BEC for me. But! When your brand is so direct and upfront about being “Things I Bought And Liked”, you don’t know if you like it yet! Wait until you like it to feature it! But I guess that swipe up $ is too tempting. Or when she features things she doesn’t like! Again, I wouldn’t care but her user name is .. things I bought and liked.
Kinda funny: I have been wearing the Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation for a while now, and TIBAL promoted it a few days before Thanksgiving. I was home for the holiday and my sister saw I had the tube and she said “oh! One of my faves on Instagram really likes this. Do you like it?” and I was like ..” is it things I bought and liked” lol. And it was! So many people I know follow her now, soon enough we’ll all be using the same jewelry cleaner, ha.
I’ve purchased a couple things off her recs — earrings, she turned me onto the Kirkland makeup wipes and saved me a ton of money, a ceramic bowl that I use every day and love... our aesthetics/lifestyles are very, very different. Our budgets are also very, very different. She also just consumes more than I do, period, which is not surprising and 100% her thing. I would never spend a dime on self tanner, BUT I have definitely pointed friends in her direction when they’re looking for good options.
When I am looking for a really great neutral gift (think casual friend or white elephant), I comb through her recommendations and it is always a winner!
I also just really like her because she is very funny, very real, and feels like she is in on the joke of her own consumerism. We’d hang very well.

So I found a new podcast a few weeks ago called Be There In Five. OBSESSED. She’s hilarious, smart and talks all things pop culture and has a three part deep dive series into Mormon Mommy bloggers, yes it’s a thing. She is a way better writer than me and I am obsessed with any and everything she posts about on insta. One of the things she posted about that I had not heard of or followed yet, was Things I Bought and Liked. An account dedicated solely to what this mystery person (really, there are no selfies or “like to know it” styled photoshoots) has bought and then liked. I LOVE LISTS LIKE THIS. So I stole the idea and cry because I didn’t think of it first but here are my top 5 things I have recently-ish bought and liked.
