Summer of '42 was completely renovated by HGTV's 2021 series "Battle on the Beach" and boasts a completely stunning interior and exterior renovation by designer Ty Pennington! This classic Fort Morgan beach home sits directly beachfront with sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. Guests will enjoy the large partially covered deck perfect for taking in the sun or relaxing in the shade. Enjoy the seasonally heated pool year-round! This pet-friendly home comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests, great for large families or a multi-family getaway!
About Summer of '42
Summer of '42 has beachfront accessibility and is just steps away from a community pool, shared by only 4 homes. The pool is seasonally heated for no charge in March, April, May, October, November, and December. Summer of 42 is one of 4 Harris-owned and managed homes, allowing easy accommodations for extra large groups. When you're in need of additional accommodations for your large party of family or friends, reserving one of these fantastic properties along with Summer of 42 is an excellent choice, as it provides everyone with enough privacy and space in order to fully enjoy their vacation.
**Pool heating is a seasonal amenity. Not available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.**
About Fort Morgan
Beyond this wonderful home and its features, Fort Morgan has much to offer. Take in the intriguing history and scenic hiking of the Fort Morgan Historic Site on a day trip. Rent a boat or boat slip from Gulf Shores Marina and head out on the water from the Fort Morgan Public Boat Launch. Or try your hand at reeling in a record-breaking fish at the Fort Morgan or Gulf Shores Marina fishing piers. The marina also provides a bait shop onsite for your convenience.
Indulge your palate in Fort Morgan's mouthwatering local cuisine at either the iconic Tacky Jack's Restaurant, which serves freshly caught seafood with unbeatable views of the gulf on the side, or at Sassy Bass Restaurant, where you'll also find both a general store and a package store available for your every possible need while on vacation. Don't forget to order yourself one of Sassy Bass Restaurant's takeout pizza.
Rental Age Policy
We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during the entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy.
*Parking for up to 3 vehicles max.

Jul 1, 2022 We had an overall amazing stay. The easy access to the beach and pool was amazing. The kids loved catching the little sand crabs at night. The air conditioner took a while to cool off during the day and at night but by the time morning came the place was cold! We will definitely stay at Summer of 42
