Upgrade Materials can be acquired through exploration, looting it from specified areas of a Location, dropped by a specific Enemy or Boss, given by an NPC, or sold by a Merchant.

Where to find Ghost Glovewort [7]:
- Found in a ruins in northern Uhl Palace Ruins with two large statues at the entrance. [Elden Ring Map Link]
- Ainsel River Main, behind and to southeast of the Malformed Star miniboss, where the cave wall meets the gate wall.

- Gelmir Hero's Grave: From the first Chariot hallway, head down until just before the central concrete walkway ends and jump into the alcove on the left. Head into the room it connects to and walk up the steps in the back to find the glovewort against the back wall. [Elden Ring Map Link]
- Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs: Follow the main path until you reach the first lift. Descend it and then send it back up to reveal a second platform in the lift that will take you to the lowest levels of the catacombs. From here, continue past the room with the Lesser Burial Watchdog to a corridor with a frost breath trap. Continue past this trap to a second corridor with another frost breath trap at the end. On the Tarnished’s journey to reunite the shattered shards of the Elden Ring, they may come across an NPC called Roderika at Stormhill Shack, early in the game. After completing a short quest for her, Roderika will become Roundtable Hold’s resident Spirit Tuner, capable of upgrading the effectiveness of the player’s Spirit Ashes – the invaluable summons players can use to assist in battle. However, these upgrades come at the cost of Ghost Glovewort, and the more expensive upgrades require Ghost Glovewort 7, 8 & 9.
Usually found throughout the crypts of Elden Ring, the way to unlock unlimited Ghost Glovewort for purchase is by finding Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing’s to give to the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold. This guide will help players find Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (3) to help upgrade the Tarnished’s Spirit Ashes to +7, +8, & +9.
Where to Find the Bell Bearing (Location Spoilers Ahead)
To find Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (3), players must first have collected the two pieces of the Haligtree Secret Medallion from The Albinauric Village and Castle Sol as part of Latenna’s questline. This will unlock the path to the Consecrated Snowfield and Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree, where players can find the Bell Bearing.
Reaching Elphael can be a challenge. The Tarnished must first solve the evergaol candle puzzle in Ordina, Liturgical Town, before making their way up Miquella’s Haligtree, and defeating Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree.
After thoroughly exploring the root-ridden city, players will come across the ‘Elphael Inner Wall’ Site of Grace. From here, head through the brazier flanked archway, down and to the right, along a curved hallway consumed by roots.
Walk up the set of roots on the left through a hole in the wall leading down to one of Elphale's Scarlet Rot waterfalls. Players must make their way through the sludge to a cliff face on the other side, where they can safely drop off the right onto a bridge of roots leading downwards.
Carefully platform across the roots to reach the previously inaccessible cliff and an archway leading to a cistern. Take the ladder on the left and head further down at the bottom to reach the ‘Drainage Channel’ Site of Grace.
Exit out the cistern through an archway leading outside and travel across some more roots hugging the wall to the left. At the first opportunity, drop down to the right to perform some signature FromSoftware buttress platforming before dropping down to the left onto another root. This will lead the player directly to another buttress, where they must drop off to the right into a courtyard.
The player should then make their way around the building to the left, passing the archway and heading towards the cliffs ahead to find a small graveyard inhabited by centipede men. Upon dealing with the enemies, the Tarnished can make their way to the lower ledge and find the Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (3) at the base of a large, pale tree.
After grabbing the Bell Bearing, travel to the Roundtable Hold and follow the left passage to the Twin Maiden Husks, who sell items to the player. Offer them the Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (3), and they will be supplied with an unlimited stock of Ghost Glovewort 7, 8 & 9 for purchase.
