LIU Post is a great school with a gorgeous campus. They did an especially great job in keeping all students and faculty safe during the COVID-19 pandemic and that really made me feel good to be a student there. Professors are all qualified and know their stuff, too. There is never a dull moment and they do a great job at creating a comfortable social setting as well. Only thing I would change is the
faculty that works in the Promise Office. They are not always the most helpful and tend to make students feel like they need to fend for themselves in order to do things for themselves like building a schedule. But over all, great school and I'm happy to go there!
Start Your Review of Long Island University
I haven't started at Long Island University yet, but I know I will love it. The campus is mid-sized and very pretty. They have a decent amount of options for food, and the dorms seem pretty good as well. The community seems great, and I am very excited to be on their new gymnastics team. The only downside I can really mention is the
kitchens for the freshman dorms seem a bit lousy. There isn't much going on. But, overall, LIU seems like a great place to be!
Only a few universities will give you a true education like LIU. Academic rigor is LIU's strong suit. With a strong curriculum in Health Professions, Nursing, Pharmacy,
Business, and Psychology. Classes are usually small With great Professors. LIU doesn’t have a cut-throat academic culture. The Promise office is everything here. Student life is just fine with plenty of clubs, organizations, and events. Parties and nightlife are non existent here but NYC is just one train ride away.
LIU is a life changing experience and i cherish the years I have spent here so far. You will develop meaningful relationships with your professors and many of the
staff members around you. Make the best use of LIU. Unfortunately, the administration and the leadership of the school shows little to no care for the wellbeing of students, which can significantly undermine your time here and make it mentally draining.
