The MI Crunchbox is also a tweaked Guv'nor, and for a long time I heard the Angry Charlie was a clone/similar to that. The Guv'nor was a FANTASTIC circuit, all of the clones I've heard or played of it have sounded amazing.
It's kind of funny in a way. The company that produced the 'best' (subjectively) Marshall-in-a-box was Marshall themselves..

I’m looking at getting a fuzz dog kit of one of the above, as far as I’m aware the JHS is a clone of a clone of the Guv, with the v3 adding back a three band EQ. So I’m assuming both are fairly similar?
Anyone have experience with both and how they differ, or don’t?

Pretty sure JHS covered this in a video, look for the one on Marshall pedals

LOL 0Wow! 1WisdomI prefer the Angry Andy, the 3 way switch is a useful addition,( headroom) and I don't miss the 3 band eq.
Pretty amazing sound , considering how few components, displaced a Juan Solo Guv clone for me, and I have got the original too.0
LOL 0Wow! 1WisdomThere's a TPS video that had them both

I think I know the one, completely forgot about it, I’ll have to find it again.

LOL 0Wow! 1WisdomThanks for those! Angry Charlie seems like it does the 90s pumpkins sound a little better. Now to decide if I want to attempt the build myself or find one second hand

I thought the secret of the 90s Pumpkins sound was the IC Big Muff...?

For those Siamese dream tones, definitely! All the live stuff and Mellon collie is Marshall jmp-1 and big mesa power amps.
I already have the IC muff covered but nothing in the Marshall ballpark.
