Grand Ages: Rome.
It is, as far as I'm concerned, better in every aspect.
Also, fun fact: The sequel to Imperium Romanum, Imperium Romanum II (didn't see that one coming, did you) was, while still in development, renamed to Grand Ages: Rome.
i did know that but some people say Imperium Romanum is better. Also do you think is worth buying?

Does Imperium
Romanum have finite enemy armies?
So that when you destroy their camps there's no more threat?
I hate that in Grand Ages Rome..
EDIT:
So far on the first mission I've seen barbarian invaders come from off-map.
This is a good sign, although it doesn't mean it will happen all the time as it was
clearly scripted.

Also from what I've played of Imperium Romanum so far, I'm pro Imperium over Grand Ages.
Imperium vs GAR
Realistic Resources ala CivCity -- Flow
Resources
Construction requires delivery of resources and time to build -- buildings build immediately
Each military building supports a single squad of soldiers -- many squads can be built per building
Each citizen is rendered with name, etc -- citizens are for decoration only
I probably will add to this list if i'm up for it.
But overall I like Imperium Romanum better because it reminds me more of a classic city builder such as CivCity Rome, whereas Grand Ages Rome is more
fast paced and doesn't quite have that 'living' feeling or the feeling you're managing a real city.

I really enjoy Grand Ages: Rome, but I was afraid that Imperium Romanum would be to similar too it to justify a purchase.
Seeing that apparently it's pretty different in a number of aspects, I think I'll get it too.

If only my Imperium Romanum wold start... Its just a black screen when i click play and then it crashes.
