Gmail
Stay on top of everything that's important with Gmail's new interface. Learn more about the new layout.
1. From the home screen, press the Select button to access the Apps tray. Press the navigational buttons to highlight the Email app, then press the Select button.
Note: Steps may vary depending on the email provider. For this demonstration, Outlook was used. If you have an email account
already set up and would like to add another, from the Email app, press the right option button to select Options > down button to highlight Settings > Select button > down button to highlight Account settings > Select button > Left option button to
select Add and follow the prompts.
2. Press the up or down buttons to navigate to the
desired email provider, then press the Select button.
3. Press the down button to highlight the Email field, then use the keypad to enter the desired email address. Press the down button to highlight the password field, then use the keypad to enter your password. Press the right option button to select Next.
4. Review the account settings, then press the right option button to select Next.
5. Use the keypad to enter the desird email account name, then press the right option button to select Next.
6. Your email account is now set up. Press the right option button to select Options. Press the left option button to compose a new email.
Access Messages
Tap the Messaging icon on the Home screen. Tap a
thread to open and read the messages in the thread.
If you have a new message notification, drag the status
bar down to open the Notifications panel. Tap a message
to open and read it.

Set Up a Gmail
Account
1. Tap the Google folder on the Home screen and tap the
Gmail icon.
2. Follow the instructions to set up or sign in to a Gmail
account.
Note: Although you need a Gmail account to use certain
features such as Google Play™, you do not have to
use Gmail as the default account for your phone.

Get Started
Note: When setting up a new Google Account, you will be
prompted to add a secondary email address. Enter a
second Gmail address or any other email address
from which you currently send and receive email.
This address is used to authenticate your account
should you ever encounter problems or forget your
password. It is strongly encouraged for Android
users so you can regain access to Google Mobile™
services and purchases on your phone.
Set Up an Email Account
1. Tap the Email icon on the Home screen.
2. Follow the instructions to sign in to your email account.
▪ If you are adding an account from a common email
provider, such as Windows Live Hotmail or Yahoo
Mail, enter your email address and password and tap
Next. Your email should be set up automatically.
▪ If you are adding an account from a less common
email provider, or if you have additional settings to
configure, enter your email address and password
