Depends on how much you want to spend. There are the basic mods like a Cold air intake, and the exhaust. That'll add maybe like 10-20hp and aren't too exspensive. I would definently buy a Predator tuner. You can make your car feel like a beast with firmer shifts, turn of mds, set the speed and rev limiters, and also ajust the WOT spark and fuel which comes in handy when you get into the higher up mods. Then there are those of us that just say screw it. You can drop a 426 stroker in but that'll cost ya quite a bit. Personally I started with a cold air intake and predator. Then I got bored and had student loans to burn so I had my 5.7 rebuilt with new heads, cam, crank, pistons, and rods. The engine upgrade parts and labor ended up being around 6,000. But I'm not done. I am now just installing a wideband sensor and new injectors. Here is where the predator comes in handy because I can really optimize how much fuel my engine gets and keep her in her prime. And pretty soon I'm going to throw on a customized twin turbo kit and put on a cowl induction hood. I hope this helped. There are tons of options to get more power out of our ladies.
Welcome to the forums... you'll want to do some searches through the Performance threads to get more detail. This has been answered way too many times to go into detail, however, since you're mechanically inclined...
*Diablo Sport Predator - computer tuner that is, hands down, the best tuner available. It'll give you the most pep for the buck and best of all, you won't have to get your hands greasy!
*CAI (Cold Air Intake) - Yet another Chevy/Ford battle, but most seem happy with the aFe Stage II CAI. I know I love mine. Get a nice whistle and a throaty roar from under the hood. Plus, it'll give you more horsepower than those racing stripes
