How to get premium adventure Yakuza 0

So, I accidentally overwrote my save (I began playing PA on it after my 1st playthrough) when starting my Legend playthrough because I'm a dumbass.

I saw an option to start Premium Adventure mode from scratch. My question is: can I get 100% completion when starting PA from scratch, or is there something from the main story that counts towards it as well?

Since this game doesnt seem to be entirely open world and divides the city into little parts you access on certain chapters.. is it possible to go back and finish the side missions? or do you have to do 100% then progress with the main story and again and again?

Once you finish the game you'll unlock premium adventure. Everything will be waiting for you there.

Out of interest, should I leave the 100% playthrough including missable achievements until the Legendary playthrough then? I want to just enjoy the game but as it's a long completion I want to do it in as few playthroughs as possible.

Currently on Chapter 4 and I know I've missed a few achievements already.

Maybe you already know this by now but premium adventure builds on whatever you already got done in your playthrough. So you'll just continue the completion process there. Nothing that counts towards the 100% in a playthrough is missable since story stuff doesn't factor into it.

The missable story achievements do unlock on legend as well, yes.

You only need two playthroughs. The first unlocks premium adventure and legend. Doing the 100% run on legend would make things take longer.

Wait so its a bit like New Game + except you dont carry over skills, just knowledge of substories and completion %?

Everything carries over. Once you finish the game it asks you to create "game clear data" which is used for premium adventure. When you start up premium adventure with that data you're basically put into a free roam version of the game with the exact progress you've done on the completion list.

Sorry if my wording is confusing. I can't tell.

Oh ok that makes sense sorry that was me getting mixed up between premium adventure and New Game+.

Was hoping something would carry over to make Legendary playthrough a bit easier!

Unfortunately New Game+ only applies to easy, normal and hard. For legend you'll start on a completely fresh save. That only applies for Yakuza 0 though. In Yakuza Kiwami you can do your legend playthrough in NG+.

Since you aren't far into the game yet I won't spoil things but there are ways to make legend significantly easier and faster to the point where every encounter except bosses won't last more than a couple seconds.

Glad to know this how "new game plus" works… I won't go out of my way searching for side quests, if I know I can mop them up after the end credits

Is there any way to explain what you mean by this without spoilers? I've just got to chapter 4.

Was thinking of not bothering with legendary but may do if it's not that troublesome.

    *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

    .

No I don't think that spoils anything as far as I'm concerned. The surprise of entering chapter 3 was quite nice so I'll add the spoiler tag here just in case.
Although for the more astute person it probably wasn't a surprise.

This is really helpful thank you. In my playthrough I've obviously missed this weapon substory but I can find it on the next playthrough. I'm trying to let the substories come naturally on this playthrough so i'm not ruining my experience too much. Although I'm sure I'll consult a checklist closer to the end.

Good advice about the stamina royale. There's so many different ones that its hard to tell whats useful at the moment. This game is way deeper than I expected it to be. (Not a bad thing)

What is the easiest way to get CP in Yakuza 0?

A rather easy way to get CP in Yakuza 0 is to hit up all the eateries in town and order pretty much everything on the menu. However, this can be challenging near the start of the game, when the characters are able to eat food only when their health is depleted.
