Try taking antibiotics. I find it helps when you have a fever not caused by zombie bite. Yeah to my experience it is the only thing helping nothing else.
Depends on the source of the fever. If it’s from a zombie wound (even a scratch), you’re dead. There’s no recovery. If you have a fever from bad food or being near corpses or infected wounds (or if you have infection mortality disabled), just resting or staying still or reading will pass it fine. Sleep helps you heal faster but you still heal from being idle. I get fevers frequently and only die to them if I have to remain active. Colds take longer to fade for me but are similar in treatment (low activity and staying well fed). My character caught a cold one day I was walking down what appeared to be a highway when it suddenly started to rain. Poor Lee got soaked and sick, now he's coughing all over the place. This wouldn't be too much of a problem if it wasn't for the fact I've read dying from fever is a thing in PZ. I've been carrying around a normal hiking bag full of medical supplies including painkillers, beta blockers, vitamins and sleeping pills, and even though painkillers would make sense if I wanted to reduce my body temperature in real life, I don't know if that helps in the game. Is there some kind of anti-biotics I just haven't come accross as of yet? (perhaps a good ol' pot o' soup?) I've thought of consulting the wiki, although I'm kind of against it because I like the mistery and uncertainty of the survival game. Please help, I'm only a rookie. Question
Did this feature get updated past 41.50? I got a fever and drove away from all the zombies, slept but it my health was still going down. Long story short, I died from a fever even though I did exactly what I use to do on 41.50. How do you cure a fever post that update? Share this postLink to postShare on other sitesRecommended Posts
What traits did your character have? What kind of fever was this? (did char get zombiefied or just died?) Any mods? Share this postLink to postShare on other sites
I slept near zombies and I first got nauseated. I tried sleeping in a new area with less zombies but the effects got worse and fell into a fever. I then escaped the entire area and tried to sleep with no zombies or dead bodies around and my health kept going down. in v41.50, all I had to do was go to unaffected area and sleep. I simply could not get rid of the fever regardless of out desolate I was. I was in a car and it was 70 degrees, just fyi so it wasn't temperature caused fever. I also tried sleep in both a car and in a bed with zero zombies around and still, the health went down. Share this postLink to postShare on other sites
Hmm.. could you try again, please? (haven't answered any of the questions I've asked )Share this postLink to postShare on other sites
Traits: No negative traits. They were all fitness related

I had it recorded, apparently... Share this postLink to postShare on other sites
Oh, that's fortunate!.. Yeah, the character got zombiefied in the end... means that the zed infection is not turned off (happened to me a number of times ) Could you double check sandbox settings perhaps? (just to be sure) Other than that, how often does this happen? If this happens all the time, then I'd recommend removing all the mods and trying without (again, just to be sure). Did you watch the video? I'm not concerned about what happens after I died, I was concerned about WHY I died. I slept near zombies, got nausea which turned into a fever and couldn't get rid of it. Because you're not acknowledging this or some new update to this function, I'm going to assume nothing as changed through the different versions. Or at the very least if there has been, either you're not aware of it or it's a yet acknowledged bug. I have over 1k hour playtime and I've never turned into a zombie pre death or slowly zombified. If you watch the video, you'll notice a nausea sign which slowly turns into a fever... Checked settings: Not enabled. Share this postLink to postShare on other sites
Alright... I'll take the L on this one. Somehow the function was on even though I've used the exact same settings for like forever. To cure a cold, you must simply eat plenty of food and avoid getting wet or cold again. Eventually, the symptoms will pass and your character will feel healthy.
How do you stop nausea in project zomboid? In the case of food poisoning, survivors who've managed to find Lemongrass while scavenging in Project Zomboid's towns can eat it to speed up the process. There are a few Project Zomboid Traits that affect illness, with Iron Gut both reducing the chance of food sickness by half and allowing survivors to recover faster.
What causes queasy project zomboid? In Project Zomboid, players will get the queasy moodle when their players get seriously ill in the game. Queasy can also be caused by a number of things, such as eating rotten food, getting a cold, and getting injured. It could spell doom for your character if you get bitten, scratched, lacerated from a zombie attack.
