My current SO is saving herself for marriage due to Catholicism. I'm cool with that btw, she's 20, and I'm 23. I've had a lot of sex in my life so I know what I'm missing out on. Anyway, if you don't mind, I would like to know what your views on contraception are.
Apparently before I came along she was very anti-contraception, due to church, but now she's starting to question that. I ask her a lot of questions (because of a non-religious upbringing), but at this stage even she doesn't know all the answers to my questions, because she's questioning the same things herself. Any insight would be extremely helpful.

I (F) have never been asked out/kissed/on a date/the whole shebang heh, ^shebang. I don't really mind since I don't feel the need to have a romantic relationship at the moment because it would distract from school (no more so than does reddit, but oh well). But I'd like to get a ballpark of what age people generally are. Also, did you regret it later, or was it what you were hoping for?

19, just wanted to get it over and done with. No regrets, could probably have picked a better guy. Oh, and if it was all that I expected it to be? I expected it to hurt after hearing my friends horror stories while in reality it was over and done with in a few minutes with no pain at all. Might have been due to me preparing myself with a cucumber first... (yes.. I was that girl >.<)

Oh man, me too. I favoured those antiperspirant cans with the rounded lids - I ruptured my own hymen by doing that, and I thought it was my first period.. Yeah, things kinda happened in the wrong order there.

I was that girl too! I was 19/20 and couldn't wait to get rid of it. I never got the big deal with saving it. First time is not going to be the best sex ever so I decided to get rid of my hymen myself a few years before so that at least it wouldn't be painful and suck. I think I used a body spray can...

Did the cucumber hurt a lot?

over and done with
This seems like an odd attitude.

Thank you for responding! I never considered that was possible...wow, now I feel naive.

25y/o virgin here. Still finishing up college after taking a few years off from High School. If I had one suggestion for people in High School, it's have sex before you are about 20y/o. The longer you go without it, the harder it is to explain to a girl that you are a virgin, and the more pathetic you feel.

Hey me too (21). I'm pretty sure I'm waiting until I get married which may be unwise, but I've more or less made up my mind about it.

Thanks, that's good to hear. I know that I shouldn't pay attention to what everyone else has done, but sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with me for not even wanting sex or a boyfriend.

I was 15.He was 17. We had been together for almost a year. We had both talked about it like "so if it happens, it happens?" and agreed upon that. It was just the time for us. We're getting married next year. :)

Congratulations! May your wedding be beautiful and stress-free (likely an impossibility on the latter, I know, but I still wish you a wonderful wedding).

13 - I really should've waited longer.

I was 13 as well, and I agree.

Thirteen year olds look so young now, it kinda boggles my mind.

I'm 20 and still a virgin. I've also never been kissed/out on a date/the whole shebang.
As far as relationships go, I am pretty busy and haven't really had time (I'm a student too). I also don't like social events (parties) and can't drink (allergic), so I lose out on opportunities there, but I don't regret that. It just isn't a big priority for me right now.

I don't drink, smoke, any of that stuff. It seems like a waste of money and time, both now and in the future when there's medical issues due to a trashed liver and cooked lungs. You can have a fun social life without attending parties or getting intoxicated. I'm glad I'm not the only one!
