How many episodes will power Book 4 Force have?

Power Book IV: Force is on its way. Fans are thrilled that the third spinoff in the Power Universe, which centers on the hot-tempered Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) is on its way. The series is said to be very much in the same vein as old-school Power. However, Tommy is going to be taking his “unique” talents to Chicago.

As we know, Tommy has been feeling lost since the death of his best friend and business partner, James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). Now, fans are set to watch as he regains his footing. But how many episodes can we expect from the first season of Power Book IV: Force?

‘Power Book IV: Force’ has just completed filming in Chicago

After eight months of grueling work, the first season of Power Book IV: Force has completed filming in Chicago. Sikora announced the season wrap on Instagram with a photo of executive producer, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and actor Tommy Flanagan.  “Winners only. POWER Book 4! That’s a wrap! @50cent @tommyflanaganofficial,” the Chicago-born actor shared.

In a previous interview, Sikora also revealed that fans are in for a real treat when the series debuts in 2022.

“It’s really f—ing good,” Sikora told Entertainment Weekly. “People are going to love it. I think that it’s going to take all facets of Tommy that we’ve built up to until now to not only survive but to potentially thrive — and to potentially leave. You don’t know if it’s going to be one city and then another city and if he’s going to keep bopping or what connections need to be made.”

How many episodes will be in ‘Power Book IV: Force’ Season 1?

Now that we know Force has wrapped, it’s on track for its early 2022 debut. While Starz only gave Power Book III: Raising Kanan an eight-episode first season, which will expand into 10 for season 2, Force will have a 10-episode season 1, just like Power Book II: Ghost.

Tommy has been a fan-favorite character since Power debuted in 2014, and fans have been desperate to Sikora back in the role. Thankfully, Starz is giving the fans what they want.

“Tommy was the most honest character on Power, so I think this comes back to the roots of Tommy,” Sikora told Entertainment Weekly. “Now that he’s an empty shell, what are the qualities of Tommy that keep him going? Well, he’s kind of already told us on Power, and now we get to watch that. It’s almost like watching a flashback in the future, in some ways. Because what we’re doing is we’re seeing how Tommy became Tommy — but after he lost everything.”

‘Power Book IV: Force’ may crossover with ‘Power Book II: Ghost’

Power Book II: Ghost, which follows Tommy’s estranged nephew Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) will have completed its season 2 run by the time Force debuts in early 2022. However, just as Tommy appeared in a season 1 episode of Ghost, there is a major possibility that Force could crossover with Ghost.

While Tommy certainly hasn’t forgiven Tariq for killing Ghost, he also made a commitment to his late best friend to protect his son at all costs.

“I can’t tell you [if Tariq will seek out Tommy], but you know he’s definitely going to need uncle Tommy’s help at a point,” Sikora said via Express.

This seems like an even greater possibility since the two shows exist in the same time period unlike, Power Book III: Raising Kanan which is set in the ’90s.

“Power Book IV: Force” centers on fan-favorite character Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good. As Tommy leaves New York after losing Ghost, LaKeisha and the only city he's ever known, he makes a quick detour to close an old wound that’s been haunting him for decades. What was supposed to be a quick stop turns into a labyrinth of family secrets and lies Tommy thought were long buried. One step leads to another and Tommy quickly finds himself in Chicago's drug game, inserting himself between the city's two biggest crews. In a city divided by race, Tommy straddles the line, ultimately becoming the lynchpin that not only unites them - but holds the POWER to watch them crumble. As the first season unfolds at breakneck speed, Tommy uses his outsider status to his advantage, breaking all the local rules and rewriting them on his quest to become the biggest drug dealer in Chicago.

Will Power Book IV: Force have a season 2?

Gary Lennon will serve as showrunner and executive producer on Season 2. Robert Munic created the series and served as showrunner on Season 1. Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Mark Canton also executive produce.
