Introduction:
“The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a first person adventure game. When a simple-minded individual named Stanley discovers that the co-workers in his office have mysteriously vanished, he sets off to find answers. But as you explore, slowly, meaning begins to arise, the paradoxes might start to make sense, perhaps you are powerful after all. The game is not here to fight you; it is inviting you to dance.

You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will make a choice, and you will have your choices taken from you. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. You are not here to win; this world was not made for you to understand. The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded re-imagining of the critically acclaimed, award winning indie game The Stanley Parable from 2013. Everything that was in the original Stanley Parable is here, preserved just like it was back in 2013, but The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe also dramatically expands the world of the original game with new content, new choices, and new secrets to uncover. The labyrinth has just gotten bigger.

In addition, the game has been visually upgraded to reflect modern technology while faithfully preserving the tone of the original game. Accessibility features have also been added to the game, including localization of in-world text, colorblind options, and content warnings. And just as before, the impeccable voice work of Kevan Brighting will accompany you every step of the way.

In The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, everything you remember has been recreated, yet it's different somehow. We've been here before, haven't we? Is Stanley still the same as he was back then? Or is it you who has changed?” - xbox.com

The Stanley Parable is an award-winning game that was first released for PC in 2013. It is a basic first-person perspective game; there is no combat and includes basic functions such as movement, crouching, and interacting with objects. There is no jumping (except in designated areas), and death results in the game being reset.

You control Stanley, a worker in a non-descript office who suddenly finds himself alone with no indication of where his co-workers are. As Stanley begins to explore, a voiceover begins narrating the events of the game. Stanley can choose to listen to the narrator or ignore them and investigate the building on his own. Many choices will be presented to Stanley, and as such, the narrator will react accordingly. The choices made will result in different endings before resetting it back to the beginning.

The Ultra Deluxe edition was released in April of 2022. It further expands on the original game by adding a new area with new environments, choices and endings.

Step 1 - Miscellaneous Achievements:
Since we will be playing and completing the game many times for Test Achievement Please Ignore (90G), we can go ahead and get a majority of the achievements done which will take only about a half hour. During our time, we will be unlocking all of the quick miscellaneous achievements, such as You Can't Jump (90G), Settings World Champion (90G) and Welcome Back! (90G), before completing the game for the first time with the ‘Freedom’ ending.

Refer to the guide below for the most efficient method to unlock these achievements.

  • Get Your First Achievement (90G) - Awarded for getting any of the other achievements as your first
  • Welcome Back! (90G) - Quit the game and then start it again
  • You Can't Jump (90G) - No seriously, we disabled it
  • Click on door 430 five times (90G) - Click on door 430 five times
  • Settings World Champion (90G) - Set all settings sliders in the menu to all the available numbers
  • 8888888888888888 (90G) - 888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888
  • Beat The Game (90G) - Complete The Stanley Parable
The next four steps can be done in any order.

Step 2 - Ultra Deluxe Content/Collectibles/Epilogue (i.e., Test Achievement):
Test Achievement Please Ignore (90G) might be confusing to some as requires the most time and preparation of any achievement in the game. To summarize, you need to complete the game twice (with two different endings), complete the ‘New Content’ ending, complete the ‘NEW New Content’ ending, find the collectibles, and finally complete the Epilogue. A fully detailed description of this achievement is found below. This achievement will probably take you approximately two hours from start to finish, maybe more depending on how much you explore.

Step 3 - The dreaded speed run:
Speed run and no death achievements are the bane of existence. This might sound intimidating, but luckily it really isn’t as bad as you might think. This achievement takes a little preparation, but from start to finish, it should only take you about 15 to 20 minutes. After completing the game with the ‘Freedom’ ending, replay the game two or three more times but only get to the boss’s office each time before restarting. Every time you enter the office, the fireplace will open quicker until eventually you won’t have to wait anymore. Then, it’s just a matter of restarting the game until you start in one of two locations, both of which are closer to the ending than Stanley’s office. Refer to Speed Run (90G) for more information.

Step 4 - Don’t play for 10 years?!:
Yep, you read that right. There’s an achievement for not playing the game for 10. Whole. Years. But don’t fret; you don’t have to wait 10 years if you don’t want to. While you can choose to not play this amazing game for such a long period of time, you can also unlock this in a matter of minutes by just changing the date on your console. “But how can I change that if the console is always online?” you ask. Simple; go offline. There are a few simple steps to this, so for instructions on how to be 100
richer sooner rather than later, refer to Super Go Outside (100G) below.

Step 5 - Play for 24 hours on Tuesday:
This achievement description can be a little misleading as it implies you need to leave your console on for the entire duration of a Tuesday. While you can do that if you choose, it isn’t necessary at all. The actual requirement is to play 24 hours on a Tuesday, whether it’s one hour at a time for 24 Tuesdays or four hours on six different Tuesdays. As long as you accumulate 24 hours on one or multiple Tuesdays, you will earn this. Refer to Commitment (90G) for more information.

Conclusion:
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a fun quirky game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Your actual achievement gameplay will only take about 4-6 hours, but it is worth exploring around to see how many branching storylines and endings you can find. Whether or not you choose to cheat the 10 year achievement, this will be a very enjoyable 1000
.
