How do you get the rain of fire in Destiny 2?

Destiny 2’s Season of the Haunted has arrived, and sees players venturing to the kinda new and kinda old Derelict Leviathan, to try and prevent Calus’ evil plan involving the Pyramid ship lying dormant on the moon. With a new Season Pass, Solar 3.0 abilities, and even a cool Scythe weapon, there’s plenty of new content for Guardians to sink their teeth into (do Guardians have teeth? We imagine so… except for those weak sauce Hunters). Anyway, chances are you’re here because you want to know how to get Rain of Fire exotic legs for your Warlock build in Destiny 2. Here’s everything you need to know about this fancy bit of leg armor.

How to Get Rain of Fire Exotic in Destiny 2

The Rain of Fire warlock legs are a drop that can only be obtained by completing a Legend or Master Lost Sector Solo. That means you can’t group some friends in to help you beat the Lost Sector on these tougher difficulty settings.

It’s also worth noting that even if you do complete a Legend or Master Lost Sector Solo, you’re not guaranteed to get the Rain of Fire exotic Warlock legs. You just have a high chance of them dropping. The other exotics that can drop from these feats this season are:

  • Second Chance Exotic Titan Gauntlets
  • Caliban’s Hand Exotic Hunter Arms

Rain of Fire ‘Soaring Fusilier’ Perk Explained

The Rain of Fire legs have one perk called Soaring Fusilier. This causes your air dodge to reload all of your weapons and improves the airborne effectiveness of Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles; final blows with these weapons make you radiant.

This can be particularly effective for reloading when you’re getting overwhelmed by enemies in combat and need to quickly reload on the go. It’s also just generally handy if you find yourself airborne a lot, as who’s going to say no to a bit of effectiveness from your weapons.

Destiny 2, being a game all about modifying your weapons and armor to suit your needs, features more than enough Exotic iterations to go around. Whether it be any form of weapon from Kinetic to Heavy, or any sort of armor outside of Class Item, you have plenty of Exotic items to equip each with their own intrinsic perk. One such exotic item, being one of the Warlock class of character, is the Rain of Fire Exotic Leg Armor. If you’re having trouble finding a pair for yourself, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll explain how to get the Rain of Fire Exotic Leg Armor in Destiny 2!

How to Get the Rain of Fire Exotic Leg Armor in Destiny 2

For starters, let’s go over the main perk so you can know if you want this in a particular build. The Rain of Fire Leg Armor sees your air dodge (Icarus Dash) reload all of your weapons alongside improving the airborne effectiveness of Fusion and Linear Fusion Rifles. Kills with either weapon class also grant your Radiant for 7.5 seconds as an added bonus. All of these make these boots particularly useful for a Solar build that incorporates Icarus Dash alongside some form of Fusion or Linear Fusion Rifle (Vex Mythoclast being a great one that comes to mind).

Now, how you get these boots is going to be a bit strange if you aren’t already used to the system. The Rain of Fire Leg Armor can drop from either Legend or Master Lost Sectors when done solo, though it’s based entirely on a rotation that goes between all four styles of armor (One day could be Helmets, while the next could be Chest Armor). If you’re viewing this article on its release date, today doesn’t offer up Exotic Leg Armor but it will offer it next on August 18. If you don’t end up getting it then, it’ll offer it every four days after that (August 22, August 26, etc.).
