Find Freezington mayor to get information

When you reach Freezington, the camera will pan around to show you some of the town. It’s small and humble, but it’s a town. The mayor will notice you arrival and come to greet you. He’ll give you a souvenir Freezington’s Fame Boatneck Sweatshirt. As an extra bonus, your first Pokémon will follow you around like in the Isle of Armor.

Tip: Traveling Alone

If you don’t want your Pokémon following you for some reason, go and visit the house to the left of the entrance where you came from. An elderly lady is sitting on the boxes near the door. Inside, chat to the little

Eevee costumed girl to toggle the following Pokémon on/off.

Anyway, Peony will grab your attention with his thunderous voice. He’s waiting for you at the house at the furthest part of the town, with a red flag outside. When you’re back in control, the camera will be facing straight towards the house you want to visit. That said, feel free to explore the town.

Of note, on the left, near the entrance is a peddler who’s selling Poké Balls and other useful items for an adventure. To the right of the entrance, there’s a small path between the fencing and the slope. Follow this path to the back of the house. You can find a Blunder Policy between the house and the hedge.

Continue to the end of the path. Scoop up the golden ball next to the tree, which contains TR17 Amnesia. What were we doing again…? Return to the main part of the town. Along the way, you should have noticed an item on the other side of the fencing. Go around the fencing and pick it up to find an Utility Umbrella.

Head back towards the entrance, near the foot of the slope. Approach the house with the elderly lady sitting atop some boxes. Check out the fenced area to the right of this house. You should see an item next to the tree, but out of reach. Search the base of the tree for a hidden item.

If you’re feeling daring, go right and follow the fence around. You’ll need to cut through some tall grass, inhabited by wild Pokémon, including some scary-looking

Abomasnow (but they’re not that scary, unless you’re low Level). Ta-da, it’s a chunk of Charcoal, perfect for heating up a fireplace.

Make your way towards the opposite end of the town, near where the house with the red flag is. To the left of the exit, near one of the corners of the field, is a slope leading up to the back of the mayor’s home. Search the corner of the hedge for a hidden item. Then carry on to the end to stumble upon TR73 Gunk Shot.

Finally, head towards the house where Peony is. If you check the sign outside, it’s called the “Freeze Inn”. Brr, couldn’t they call it something warmer-sounding? Before going inside, search the area to the left, where the boxes and shovel are, to find a hidden Wishing Piece. Then waltz inside.

This Poké Ball has a 100% catch rate. Which is good timing, as there are many hard-to-catch Legendary Pokémon here. Still, you only get one, so you'll have to choose carefully.

Peony will proclaim this house to be the base camp of your adventures. You’ll receive an Expedition Uniform, just like Peony’s, which you can wear to really get into the spirit of things. Or you can instantly change out once he’s finished waffling on.

Next, he’ll point you towards a door in the far corner, which you can use to restore the health of your Pokémon, as well as change your outfit and the colour of your expedition jacket’s armband. There aren’t any Pokémon Centres here, so if you need to heal, you should come back here.

Last and not least, Peony will give you three Legendary Clues. These will be stored in your Key Items pouch and you can inspect them to read the clues again. With these clues, you can activate the story quests to find the Legendary Pokémon native to the Crown Tundra. To encourage you, Peony will give you a Master Ball.

Note: Story Quests

There are three story quests in the Crown Tundra. The first one focuses on

Calyrex, the supposed king of this region. Meanwhile the second involves the Regi Pokémon, which debuted in Ruby and Sapphire. The last quest is for the Galarian versions of the Legendary birds from Kanto.

You can do these quests in any order or even at the same time. To fully complete the quests, you’ll need to catch all of the Legendary Pokémon involved. They’re all Level 60+, so you must have 8 badges or you’ll be too scared to throw the Poké Balls or something.
