Just as Seungho is riveted by Na-kyum's work, I found myself absolutely mesmerized by the gorgeous art in the webcomic Painter of the Night, as well as the surprisingly layered story of a noble determined to offer his patronage to a young artist - whether the latter wants it or not.

You want to hate him as a villain for having a possessive, aggressive, and obsessive nature. He acts unconventionally and gets away with everything.

Yet he has sweet moments and moments that make you crack up because why should he care? His facial expressions are everything.

The author sets a realistic tone for the time period. The eldest son of a noble becomes obsessed with a young painter. They are on opposite spectrums so it’s interesting to see their interactions. The main noble is mentally unstable so some readers should beware. There is violence involved. However, you can see why the noble depends so much on the young painter as we learn more about his past. The story is complex and interesting so it is not just for smut.

Well this was certainly....something.

I thought it would be different tbh. I didn't read the blurb but it turns out it's full of noncon which you know.... hmmm

I found myself intrigued to see where it goes.
Yoon was an asshole for the whole manhua but you could also feel something changing in him, however small.

Let's see if he shifts more in volume 2.

Na-kyum is so lovable and not to say our lord Seungho is hateful but the dynamics between them is intriguing. And not to forget the artwork is so beautiful.

this is inspirational story, it defines love is not about the gender we are free to love at all just dont pass the limit that you can hurt the people you love emotionally, physically but ofcourse you can hurt when you love people because thats what love is, it inspires people that who is affraid to love by their same gender and afraid of people judgment but we are all afraid to those people so i want to read this badly

Yeah saw a picture of the main character floating around and decided to give this webtoon a try.

The story is a MM historical "romance". It's dark and non-con/ dubious con adult read--but I will also say that I love the art, and flew through the story thus far

TikTok got me doing things I never thought I would do. When I was a preteen I tried to get into BL cuz my friends liked it, but I couldn’t enjoy it... now? Oh boi how the turn tables.

I know Seungho is an absolute douche but there’s something about him that has me like GAGAUDUWJAH. Nakyum is a cinnamon roll, so beautiful and sweet, I often wind up thinking that he’s a girl.

I don’t understand the hype around this. The relationship is abusive and toxic, involves rape and other non consensual sexual activities. Not to mention the story glorifies abuse. The only good thing about this was the art, which sadly was wasted on such a story...

4 stars for now since its still on going..
the art and character's expression is definitely top notched it's as if they are really alive. looking forward with the relationship development between the main characters.
