Good question. I actually had to go back and read the dungeon arc again lol.
To clarify, the dungeon arc is when Mimosa is introduced and we see her again immediately after it's conclusion. When we see her again she tells Noelle about her feelings. So her feelings originate from that day in the dungeons. In fact, she tells Noelle she couldn't get him out of her head since that day.
However, the relationships that have the most development are Klaus and Asta, Luck and Asta, Noelle and Asta, Yuno and Asta, then Mimosa and Asta.
If I had to make a case for her, I would say that it's a case of her thinking he was cool/heroic. I don't mean that to come off like she's superficial, but this is the very Start of her relationship with Asta.
She doesn't really have a direct scene with Asta in the arc, but there is a scene that I think is the moment that she starts to fall for him. There already was the dynamic of the Great Golden Dawn against the Terrible Black Bulls. We see this when Klaus rips them apart and and calls the black bulls a disgrace. Unlike Klaus, Mimosa doesn't hold anything against peasants (this is revealed later but she would have felt that way during the dungeon arc). But that doesn't mean she wouldn't have thought that the Black Bulls were a mess (besides the fact they kinda were tbh, she ask Noelle when they first meet at the dungeon how she's doing because she's heard the Black Bulls are barbarians).
My point, she probably didn't expect much out of Asta (not in a mean way tho). But then he jumps in and saves the day. At first, she (with everyone else) inwardly remarks "He's strong!" .
But the moment she started to feel something (I believe) comes from the moment he saved both her a Noelle. In that moment, Mimosa reveals her flower-healing robe (which she remarked was her strongest move) in order to heal Noelle, who just got slashed by Marz. Mimosa's flashbacks of her and Noelle reveal that she is compassionate, but may not have necessarily been a fighter (in the sense that she said she most likely would quit if she was in Noelle's shoes). This was her own weakness which is in direct contradiction to Asta's personality. Marz then says the weak should die and attacks Noelle but Asta jumps in and saves them. There was a large panel of just Mimosa's eye right before Asta protects them. Her eyes were full of fear and desperation. After he protects them, there is another panel of just her face. She is clearly shocked and surprised and has an expression I can't really describe. We then see a tear in her eye when Noelle begins to talk again, revealing she's doing a little better now. Showing Mimosa was either scared enough to muster a tear or was relieved enough at Noelle's health status to shed a tear.
I think this was a desperate moment when Mimosa couldn't protect someone she cared for even when using her strongest spell. When he saved her it must have been very meaningful to her. When the dungeon begins to collapse she (along with Klaus and Luck) thinks "I can't let Asta die!"
When Mimosa reveals her feelings to Noelle, she (Noelle) tells Mimosa that Asta is a short, loud, stubborn, country-bumpkin. Mimosa responds that those things are his charms.
It would have been easy for her to not expect anything out of him. But he was a hero to her that day. Since then, she couldn't get him out of her head.
An Astmosa(is that what it's called, sounds like a plant) could talk about their development later on but this is the best I got. This is just the beginning of their relationship. It's all over the place but I tried.
Who will end-up with Asta? Will it be Noelle or Mimosa? Romance and emotional feelings are an important factor in a manga series. Even a story filled with action must have few droplets of romance to add sweetness into it!
Black Clover is no exception! Hence, today I’m going to explain whether Asta will end-up with Noelle or Mimosa. Also the worst situation that might happen if none of them are proven true!

Asta Is One Dense Dude
I suppose you will also accept the fact that Asta is a damn dense dude! He is pretty close to Yami in this aspect. I don’t know how many times have Noelle indirectly tried to express that she is secretly in love with him, but to no avail.
If you ask me, then I guess there are two reasons behind it:
(1) Asta is too fixated on Sister Lily. He genuinely loves her, and also expects her to accept him.
(2) Asta is still too immature to grasp a woman’s emotions.
Noelle being a tsundere makes the situation worse! Hopefully, now that Asta has grown and is above 18 years of age, he will slowly understand Noelle’s feelings.
Will Asta Finally Recognize Noelle’s Feeling?
Yes, Asta might finally recognize Noelle’s feelings.
But, I don’t see it happening just yet. Maybe we’ll have to wait before either of them makes a move. Or worse, there might a time-skip again after the final arc is finished where we see Asta married with Noelle and have a kid!
Well, in this subject Black Clover community is way more advanced where they have some Wild theories. Though I don’t think those theories are going to materialize, but it’s good to see the people are interested..

Asta will never end-up with Mimosa.
And I also don’t think Black Clover creator (Yuki Tabata) will choose a harem route.
Yes, Asta respects and encourages Mimosa, but outright marrying her and spending entire life with her is out of question! Also, these two don’t have to necessary chemistry for a beautiful “chemical reaction.”
What Could Be The Worst Case Scenario?
Now, let’s also dive into the other possibilities that might happen. Although everything I’ve written till now is a speculation, the ones I’m going to write below is just Wild!
When I mention the WORST scenario, I’m really talking about the worst among all!
(1) After the final arc is done, Asta is forced to do something that although saves Humanity is a crime. Hence, he is exiled from Clover Kingdom and is forced to leave!
(2) Nolle might end-up leaving with him, though I don’t take it as the worst situation, rather better than most
(3) Asta ends-up with no one, and spends his life to gain more strength. He might also reject the proposal of becoming the Wizard King!
(4) Finally, the worst among all: Noelle dies and Asta marries some unknown woman to keep himself diverted from Noelle’s memories!
I know all the above possibilities are just too extreme, and there’s less than 1% chance of happening. But, I’m talking about the most EXTREME situation!
Conclusion & FAQ
In the end, I as a Black Clover fan is convinced that Asta x Noelle will happen. Sadly we might not see how it happens! Also Black Clover creator Yuki Tabata won’t take such high risk to irk his readers!
