Buffalo chicken dip with dairy-free cream cheese

Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip is an easy and delicious appetizer that is going to blow you away! Just as good as your typical, dairy-laden buffalo chicken dip recipe!

  2. Dairy-Free: As someone who eats dairy-free most of the time, I am SO excited to finally have a dairy-free version of this type of recipe! Game Day here we come!
  3. Versatile: I mean .. if you don’t feel like doing much for dinner .. this could easily be it! But of course, it is also a great appetizer too!

What You Will Need

  1. Shredded Chicken: Check out this post on 3 Ways to Shred Chicken for ideas, but you can always use a rotisserie chicken if you want (I would check your ingredients though – some rotisserie chicken contain lots of weird ingredients!).
  2. Frank’s Red Hot, Homemade Buffalo Sauce or Paleo Store-Bought Buffalo Sauce
  3. Dairy-Free Cream Cheese: I used this type of dairy-free cream cheese through testing and it worked amazing! 
  4. (Optional) Ranch Dressing: If you want your dip EXTRA creamy and not quite as thick I would suggest adding in some ranch dressing to thin it out.  I used my homemade version, but this store-bought is great too!
  5. Toppings: celery and green onions

How to Make Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip

Step One: Add shredded chicken to a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Step Two: Add sauce and dairy-free cream cheese (and ranch if you want).

Step Three: Combine.

Step Four: Add to small baking dish.

Step Five: Bake until warm and bubbly.

Step Six: Serve with celery and green onion!

Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip – a creamy and delicious buffalo chicken dip that is made with simple, clean ingredients and is dairy-free!

  • 1 lb cooked and shredded chicken breast, approx. 2 medium sized chicken breasts
  • 8oz dairy-free cream cheese (I used this kind)
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot, Homemade Buffalo Sauce or Paleo Store-Bought Buffalo Sauce
  • (Optional) 1/4 cup ranch dressing 
  • Toppings: green onion, chopped
  • Serving: Celery 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Add shredded chicken, dairy-free cream cheese, sauce and ranch dressing (optional) to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir to combine. 
  3. Pour into shallow baking dish and bake on middle rack for 20-25 minutes or until warm all the way through. 
  4. Serve with celery and garnish with chopped green onions. 

Notes

  • Serving: You can also serve with a fun paleo/grain-free cracker too!
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
