In a scene in Twilight: New Moon, Jacob addresses Bella by saying "Bella! Where the hell have you been Loca?" (shown below).
Spread
The line remained a memorable part of the Twilight fandom in the years after the film's release. In 2021, the line popularly saw use in memes amidst a Twilight fandom renaissance. On February 11th, 2021, Twitter account @twilightreborn[1] posted a screenshot where the line is replaced with an acronym, gaining over 28,000 retweets and 138,000 likes (shown below, left). On February 15th, user @ufobri[2] posted a joke about the line, gaining over 600 retweets and 2,900 likes (shown below, right).
The line continued seeing use in jokes among the Twilight fandom throughout 2021. For example, on August 29th, user @babybunnybean[3] posted a joke conflating the line with the lyrics to "Hey There, Delilah," gaining over 43,000 retweets and 200,000 likes (shown below, left). On September 1st, user @jayjayriv[4] posted a Mary Jane Defending Peter Parker parody with the line, gaining over 12,000 retweets and 69,000 likes (shown below, right). The jokes were covered by Buzzfeed[5] and Daily Dot.[6]
