Bear is coaching the soccer team for Mouse School. At the first team practice, the team is confused by Bear's complicated diagram, while Tutter is amused by a comment of Moss'. Tutter decides he wants to be Moss' friend, but is worried because he's never actually made a new friend before. He's known the kids in the Big Blue House practically his whole life and thinks of them as family. When he hears that Ojo made friends with Christine Rabbit by doing nice things for her, he gets the idea that the way to make friends with Moss is to impress him.

Moss is a gray mouse who attends school and plays soccer with Tutter on Bear in the Big Blue House. Moss is introduced in the show's fourth season. Physically, he resembles Tutter, except his fur is gray and his eyes are closer together.
When Tutter starts attending Mouse School, he decides that he wants to be Moss's friend in the episode "Tutter Gathers Some Moss," but he isn't sure how to go about doing it. He tries doing and saying things to impress him, but they don't really work. He and the other kids of the Big Blue House sing a song titled "With a Friend Like Moss" about how great it would be if Tutter were Moss's friend.
