My experience as a new resident has been overly pleasant and positive. I’ve been looking an apartment for a while that would make me happy to leave work and head home. This is the place! It’s clean, everyone is friendly and they keep it very well maintained.

I have now resided at DeSeo Grand Mission for two years and my interactions with the staff and other residents have been very positive. The facilities and grounds are always well kept. The wellness/exercise area is great with nice machines and ample disinfectant towels to ensure each user is protected. The staff ensures that notice of activities and events are issued in a timely manner. DeSeo is a very nice community in a area with an excellent selection of stores and amenities.

The building I live in is bad. The tenants and staff do not care about it. As long as the front of the property is maintained well, the staff is okay. The staff never comes back to monitor any of the surroundings of 12 building. I was told it would happen but I have not seen it yet! Trask pick up was horrible and we were not prorated for when it was not picked up. I asked a staff member and she never replied back. A lit of dishonesty. Trash is much better now. You have to call 20 to 30 times just to get lights fixed on there building. But when you don't live here why would you care. It is just a paycheck I guess.

This is the longest I've stayed at any apartment complex. It's because I really like it here. My rent is reasonably priced and my apartment is spacious and feels like a home. The community is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The maintenance crew company, Greystar, has been the best I've ever encountered. Very professional and prompt. They keep the area looking nice. I also love the gym and the amazon drop boxes. As with all apartments, there are issues here and there. But in all honesty, the staff address it well. We get emails about complaints and how they're being addressed and a forum online where we can talk to residents. It's been a great stay. I'd highly recommend this place.

Deseo at Grand Mission has been a great experience since the day I came to tour an apartment, which ultimately led up to me moving in. The front desk staff are always so nice and extremely helpful. The landscaping out here is always kept up very well and Deseo is strict about helping them keep it that way, which I am glad about. My only issue is my loud upstairs neighbors; other than them, I would for sure recommend anyone to move here.

Inside the apartments are nice, warm, & cozy! The walls & floors are thin so you definitely can hear EVERYTHING, but that's apartment living. Valet trash sucks & makes the property often look gross via the residents, valet service, & office. Violators continue to violate- piling trash outside of their door outside of the service hours, so the walkways often look very tacky. Parking - yeah come home early or be prepared to walk. Love the apartments for the inside look & the overall quietness. If they do away with the forced paid valet trash service or just get a handle of it....the property is an overall good property. Of course there are the nasty dog people who allow their dogs to poop wherever and not pick up after them, but that's everywhere...nasty annoying people who DON'T need dogs & make others suffer in their nastiness!!!! Definitely pros & cons

Nightmare

The apartments are visually appealing.The maintenance team is fantastic once they actually receive a work order depending on how long it takes the office to submit one. During the Harvey our ac unit was damaged. When summer came we continuously had to submit work orders on the ac. There were nights it was over 90 degrees in our unit. They would just fill it with Freon.Then supposedly they ordered a new unit but they told us they were sent the wrong unit. Last summer we had a tick issue a BIG tick issue.They are on us and the kids. We brought it to managements attention several times and nothing was done. When we moved out in April we went above and beyond cleaning after move out because we were told it was to be move in ready.The day I turned my keys in I filled out the forwarding address form turned in my keys and FOB and I directly asked if there was anything else I needed to do because I wasn’t going to be back in that area. The girl said no and I left. About an hour later my roommate called because she was there to turn her keys in and they told her I didn’t turn in my parking sticker. They never asked for the sticker. They informed her that if I didn’t return it I would be charged $30. The following week I went and send the sticker via certified mail back to them. This was towards the end of April. Fast forward to mid-May. I get a email with a bill for over $500 for various things from the complex. Replacing carpet, parking sticker, damages etc. I was first caught off guard because my roommates former guarantor who was on her first lease there appeared on this notice which means he was also sent at notice. He was NOT on our lease and he should never have received any of this information this was a breach of personal privacy. Next to the carpet I understand with pets and kids carpets get damaged,however, before we moved in we inquired about the frequency in which the complex replaces the carpet in the units and we were told every 2 years. So according to that when we moved out they would be replacing the carpet regardless but they chose instead to claim the carpet was damaged and thus charged us to replace it all. When we contacted the representative listed on the bill she was condescending and did not try in any way to be helpful to us. When I told her I had returned the sticker showed the tracking information showing it was in fact received there and that I no longer had it she responded that they were not adjusting any of the charges.
